Gunstock Blank

This is an American black Walnut gunstock blank. The blank is dry and ready to work. The blank measures 35" long x 2 1/2" thick x 8" at the butt 6 1/2" at the pistol grip and  2 1/2" at the tip.

Our blanks are air dried outside under cover for 3 years to 12%, then put in a controlled temperature and humifity room for 8 months  and dried to 6% -8%.

Our wood NEVER is in a kiln, a kiln can create stress in the wood which is not good for gunstocks. We believe that natural drying is by far the best method for gunstocks.
